Whether you’re running a family-owned holiday park, managing a bustling marina or simply navigating the changing tides of the park or marina industry’s, you’re not alone.
That’s the driving force behind From Pitch to Pontoon, a brand-new podcast from the team at Elite Dynamics.
In Episode 1, hosts Calum, Lisa and Andrew set out the course for what listeners can expect: a real, unfiltered look into life behind the scenes of parks, marinas and the tech that supports them.
So… why a podcast?
Let’s face it not everyone has time for a webinar and if you’ve ever attended one, you’ll know they can sometimes feel a little too polished. This podcast is different.
“We wanted to have honest, open conversations that reflect the real-life challenges and opportunities in our industries,” said Lisa, Product Manager. “We’re not here to pitch or sell, we’re here to chat.”
Andrew, who has worked across every role in the holiday park sector, agrees: “This is about being real people, talking to real people. If you work in a park or a marina, chances are we’ve faced the same challenges.”
From pot-washing to product launches
The first episode is full of personal stories — from scrubbing boats and dancing on-stage, to designing CRMs and sitting Microsoft exams at 1am. It’s not just entertaining; it’s a reminder of how diverse and human our industry really is.
Each host brings a unique journey:
-
Lisa started in marine engineering and frontline roles before moving into tech and product development.
-
Calum began in hospitality and entertainment, eventually transitioning into tech and marketing leadership.
-
Andrew went from pot-washer to GM, to being one of the minds shaping Microsoft Dynamics solutions at Elite Dynamics.
Together, they’ve helped shap software for the industry, having lived and breathed it themselves.
What can you expect from future episodes?
This isn’t just another corporate podcast. Expect guest stories, behind-the-scenes insights, industry gossip (the good kind) and honest chats about topics others tend to avoid — like pricing myths, implementation pain points, or even the AI conversation no one wants to start.
“We’re here to myth-bust and make people feel less alone in their journey,” said Calum. “And if you’ve got a story, we want to hear it.”
